How to Clean Your Prom Dress Or Bridesmaid Dress?

A prom dress always can wear again to future formal event parties, such as weddings or ball. It is a wise idea to keep your prom dress after your prom party. But before you return it to the storage, you need to make sure you've cleaned or repaired it. At your next party, you can change or altered to transform it into a totally new one.
Then do you know how to clean your prom dress or bridesmaid dresses since stains happen, no matter how careful you are?

Prom dress cleaning methods are typically dictated by the type of material and type of stain you’re dealing with, but the first rule of thumb when it comes to fighting stains on your formal prom dress is to act fast so that the stain does not have time to fully saturate the dress fabric.

Test the treatment method on a hidden area of the garment first, and rub the stain from the back of the fabric, not the front of the special occasion party dresses. and never dry or iron a stained garment until the stain is removed.

Use a clean white towel for blotting stain, not rub the stain; a blot, or scrape the stain to prevent further penetration.

It is always best to have your formal prom attire professionally cleaned to remove any stains if you can.

If the stain is Eye Shadow/Lipstick/Mascara, Dampen the stain with warm water and rub with a liquid detergent with color-safe bleach. Rub the detergent directly into the stain until its outline is gone. Then wash the garment in the hottest water safe for the fabric.

If the stains are Concealer/Foundation/Eye & Lip Liner, Dampen the stain with warm water and pretreat it by gently rubbing with liquid laundry detergent or a soft paste of powder detergent and water. Rinse the treated area and then launder the garment in the warmest water safe for the fabric. Hang dry the garment.

If the stains are Nail Polish, it's hard to remove it. but you can try. Place garment face down on paper towels. Blot the back of the stain with nail polish remover. Rinse and wash.

And the stains may be Ink, Grass, Coffee or Tea, Mud, Blood, and perspiration. Different stains have different ways to remove. You can google it before you start to clean it. Just make sure you can afford the bad result.
